Grouping Sorokin & Varlamov together … knew we would pay them a combined 11m per. Whether it is 8.25+2.75 or 9.5 +1.5 .. alls well that ends well.
While I agree w the AAV on both the Mayfield and Engvall contracts … terms on both were 3 to 4 yrs too long … but giving Lou full control, these ridiculous terms will continue. HE NEEDS TO FIRED SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.
NO isles aren't getting any better. Lou is going down with this sinking ship the next two seasons and deserves to. Hey lou there are other players out there. As lou fiddles with his old stale roster wings are improving, pens with cap room aren't gonna sit on their playoff miss. Canes are in on karlsson and may be the class of the east soon. Sabres have oodles of youth. I don't want it but i hope wheels fall off big time next season so ownership fires lou's wrinkled old ass. And two goalies making nearly $11 mil.? wtf. And signing useless third line collection pierre long term should be grounds for dimissal. This is unacceptable. The longer lou stays around the more long term damage he does. And ownership don't care once they got that nice new arena to make $$$'s off of. I hope lou is long gone so the healing can begin draft '25 with misa. And how in the fk can isles trade for rfa debrincat with $1.8 mil. in cap space left? Would have to rid lee's deal and ltir clutterbuck to start. Lou aint no magician that can make that happen. Meanwhile sj got duclair for a measly fifth. And you all will tire of pierre long before that deal runs out. Just ask leaf fans about that.
Thank God Sorokin is signed. Mayfield, for the term isn't something I like. 7 years of Engvall…Not a fan..But..if Nelson Palms and Engvall continue to play like last season, I'll happily admit i was wrong about him. Now, Debrincat…A first, JGP and wally…Make the deal Lou!!!!

Sorokin Contrat was amazing, all lou had to do was sign the best Backup Goalie in the league for 4 years. That is an easy yes! So thumbs up to Lou for Sorokin and Varly.
Engvall was a huge signing. You are getting a fast puck mover who was getting half a point a game and was improving Palms and Brocks play. And you are paying Bottom six money. If he gets 40 points next year that is a huge bargain.
Mayfield is also a great signing. Scott is a huge part of our PK, had a career high in points and is that DMan who protects your goalies and is a big body in-front of the net. Scott has been good to this team was on a bargain contract and signed another barging because he wants to stay.
I am shocked that I am saying 5/5 stars for Lou.
I have a short list of players i would like to see the Islanders move…..B Nelson in a trade (Player) and Palmieri and Pageau to regain cap space and draft picks. Problem is i can't see many teams eager to obtain the last two…..or could i be mistaken?.
yeah great he signed guys he was supposed to sign. what about all the free agents he missed, there were a lot of good payers out there he should have made a run at
