I thought part of the problem for the Bruins against the Panthers was that the B's were too slow. Bringing in the guys they did – especially Lucic – is not going to address this problem.

Caps are unfortunately shackled with 2 contracts that are really hurting them. Mantha is a complete bum for 6 mil and I love Backstrom but we are in real trouble with his 9mil on the cap. He has earned the right to have a full offseason and see if he can get anywhere close to the level he was playing at 3-4 years ago but if it’s not happening I hope he is able to let go and go to the LTIR until his contract runs out. I’d hate my final memories of him to be him being a shell of himself on a team that is mid at best because his contract is killing us. We tried to do some stuff MacLellan said but nothing panned out. I didn’t want to trade Kuzy give Carbery a chance to get him going.

Not understanding officiating hurts Canadian teams. Canadian teams need to win with skill and speed. Because NHL will pull a Vegas Florida scenario. Call everything. Canucks almost beat officiating in game 7 in 1994. Boston got away with murder in 2011. And the Panthers were called on everything.
