He might be one of the most « Kevyn Adams is doing an amazing job » signing ever right now. Everyone and their dog was convinced this kid was never going to sign here.

The moves that this org has been able to make based on culture and personal history are so great to see as a 20+ year fan of this team. No one expected this kid to sign here. NO ONE. And I call bullshit and infinite downvotes on any of you that says otherwise lol. Johnson was swayed by his history with Jost and Okposo and their sentiment re playing for this team. Clifton drew from his history playing for Donny. McCarthy (who TBF was drafted not signed from FA) used to live down the dang road from GMKA! They’re turning this team into a family and it’s really great to see even players with tenure in the NHL pick up on that and buy into that mission.

Took us 50+ long years but I think we’ve got ourselves a dang ol’ hockey team here folks.

Oh how this sub quickly forgets the venom it had for Johnson just a few months ago.

  4. I’m a Sabres and fan and glad we got to keep an asset from walking. But if I was his agent. Why not wait until you talk to all the teams? Waited this long.

Oh well glad he is at development camp this week.
