Trades are a reality of playing pro hockey and players know that going in. Especially after your prime years. I would say getting to play the sport you love and getting paid millions to do so is pretty good compensation for having to deal with the possibility of being traded

I’ve been a kings fan since 1986, and at first I was pretty angry but now, considering quick had no intention of retiring, I think it was the right move. If he was going to retire in the next few weeks, that would be a different conversation, but if you’re gonna continue to play you’re fair game. If you want to not be fair game, then a no movement clause should’ve been negotiated
