Ignorez le discours de Vlad depuis que les choses ont changé, mais il dit pendant le segment de Pittsburgh qu’EK est ouvert et veut jouer pour l’un ou l’autre club.
With the summer chatter still sizzling after the holidays, here's a quick update on the #LetsGoCanes with Tarasenko & Pesce trade talk, #SJSharks Erik Karlsson discussions with Carolina & #LetsGoPens, and #LeafsForever cap issues & Nylander/Matthews, presented by @betwaycanada. pic.twitter.com/s8ckHkhKQM

I’d be curious to know Burns’ true feelings on this situation. Don’t think he’d ever publicly bad mouth an ex/potential future teammate but I wonder if he’s excited to play with EK again or if he’s like “Fuckkk I just escaped him” lol
Wonder how the Tarasenko fall out will impact this. EK on our defense would be unreal with our system of BlueLineBlasting (TM). I’d also prefer the Pens not get him. Relatedly, I don’t really care if the Sens get Senko….
If we end up with Karlsson, our defense will be a contender for best of the salary cap era. I get why people question us going after him, but if we are gonna go all in now is the time to do it.
If building your team from the blueline out worked well, SJ would have been a league powerhouse the last several years and the team that now spends the most in the NHL on their blueline(Columbus) wouldn’t be one of the worst in hockey.
Lack of quality blueliners isn’t an issue in Carolina, there’s already a surplus now that Orlov is signed. EK isn’t in any way a need, a real scoring forward or two is.
