I am a huge Oilers fan and hope they win the Cup in the 23/24 season!
Unless Filip Zadina proves he can be a good player that produces points consistently, I don’t think the Oilers should sign him.

Lots of cap issues. Zadina might be a good experiment if he is willing to play for league minimum otherwise not sure if he would be a fit. The team is in win now mode.
If Holland doesn’t get serious and trade one of Ceci, Kulak or Foegele the teams entire salary structure will be screwed with McLeod’s arbitration award and potential Bouchard offer sheet or worse hold out.
I’m a little worried the oilers aren’t really addressing the issues that hurt them last playoff run, especially since they lost 2 key players. Also I sometimes listens to 630 during lunch just for oilers stuff, no way im listening to it at 5/7

I’m not a fan of the moving of Oilers Now to the 5pm time slot.
Reid Wilkins show is either going to get pushed one hour if moved to an earlier time slot.
Maybe he takes the 12-2pm time slot.
I wasn’t sure I saw that stat right but Zadina almost beat his total points with his plus/minus of -51!!! We need a proven player capable of handling a 4th line role, the 4th line when it comes to playoffs is crucial that they grind the other teams to a standstill! I don’t think Zadinas is even a thought!!
I'd sign Zadina any day for the right money! Watched him at world juniors before he got drafted was a real studd! Thought edm would get him in draft but he went early, so that Detroit got Kostin rights & Yammo for free kinda maybe we can kinda get Zadina

We have bottom six potential in our own system. We don’t need to spend money on forwards. Just save it. As for McLeod, I think 1.5 is high for what he brings to the team. He’s fast and has no finish. I would rather let him walk. We have so many in our system that could do just as good as McLeod or better. Lavoie, Bourgault and Savoie. Not to mention the other forwards we picked up already this year.
I hope some of these players remember what Derek Ryan signed for. McLeod deserves to get paid, and Bouchard too, but at some point they have to decide that either this is the year to get the Cup, or this is the year to get paid. I understand that it’s hard for a young man to live on anything less than a million a year.
As far as Oilers Now; that sucks!! There are too many other things to watch or listen to at 5 and 6pm. It was great having that show in the middle of the day. Edmonton radio has always had popular radio shows in the noontime slot. Now there’s nothing really. For a “sports town” we’re bereft of sports radio.
