Le coéquipier de Michkov – « ce gamin est un morceau de &%#@. » Cela ne semble pas prometteur.

Professional shit-stirrer Ryan Whitney. Dude is basically a real housewife.

  2. doc-mantistobogan

These rumors have swirled for a while. It’s possible he just doesn’t want to be in the KHL contract so he’s phoning it in. He clearly seems excited to go to Philly, so it could be different here.

Also, something tells me such an attitude won’t get far with Torts. We will see.

  3. CTFlyer11

I just don’t care until the kid is over here and in the flyers system…

  4. smbiggy

A piece of shit like a a normal 17 -18 year old? or piece of shit beyond the pale?

  5. JoelHurts

I couldn’t care less even if this is real

  6. Shawnalish

Maybe that teamate just isn’t as good as him and has resentment. Hell…do we even know this brave teamates name? Was he drafted? IDGAF.

  7. ThadTheImpalzord

Yeah well there’s speculation Michkovs dad was off’d by the Govt in Russia, so yeah he’s probably not thrilled to be still be over there toiling.

  8. ProfessorDerp22

Veteran player doesn’t like young hot shot, big fucking woop.

  9. jlando40

Ryan Whitney is a male Karen don’t listen to him

  10. agnrgw

95% of 17-19 yr olds have bad attitudes and don’t listen to a single fucking thing. I didn’t at that age. Let alone 17-19 yr old superstar athletes. Another big YAWN from a blogsite looking for clicks.

  11. DenisNectar

On a scale of 1 to Tony DeAngelo?

  12. Legionnaire11

What Russian prospect hasn’t been rumored to have a bad attitude, or uncoachable, or disliked by teammates? It’s always the same with every one of them and then they come here and don’t have any issues.

On top of that, who really cares as long as the guy can fill the net with pucks. Radulov was supposed to be a headcase too, and yeah he was probably too immature for the NHL when he first came, but dude’s skills were legit and when he grew up a little he became an NHL star. Michkov IMO is already more mature than Radulov and will have the benefit of a few more years at home to learn more about being a pro.

Three more years of reporting how awfully childish a child is

  14. TiocfaidhArLa72

Oh christ this is all bullshit…..he’s a stud world class winger mired in Russia who has dreamed of being in the NHL and USA his entire life…..Russia is a global villain and he is stuck in Leningrad for 3 years….every 18yr old is a little shit, factor in everyting else and its possible he is prickly with his teammates, especially if they blow compared to his skillset

  15. NotThisSh1tAgain

So he told other teams to fuck off, but was happy with us? Sounds fine by me lol

  16. Ladidiladidah

He’s an 18 year old whose father was killed three months ago.

Also, it doesn’t say what makes him a piece of shit which is an important piece.

  17. -Glengoolie_Blue-

From watching a few of his games I’ve seen some ridiculous outbursts from him at times. So he does need to mature a bit in that regard. Could he be an absolute asshole? It’s possible. Could he just be really arrogant like many on the rise athletes and need to tone it down a little. Also possible. We don’t actually know and I’m certainly not taking any hearsay from Whitney on the matter. The only other thing I’d add is there was talk of both Kucherov and Vasilevsky having attitude issues as well when they were teenagers. I don’t think the Lightning see them as issues at this point.

  18. Patient_Jicama_4217

    Lmfao Who cares?

I’m taking the potential superstar, Kobe and Jordan were assholes too

  19. hawks27-2

There are a lot of reasons to believe he does not like SKA, and from everything I’ve seen SKA does not like him.

Michkov clearly has confidence and the skill to back it up. It’s also been known for a while he wants to play in the NHL. SKA is ran and coached by Roman Rotenberg who has no hockey experience and gotten major roles in hockey through his political connections. Him coaching SKA is the modern day equivalent of Vasily Stalin being that Soviet national team coach.

I’m sure there are guys that he has rubbed the wrong way, but take anything negative especially coming out from somebody involved or close to SKA with a grain of salt. The Flyers did a lot of due diligence, including talking to teammates, and were sold on his character.

  20. Sleezoid

I dunno about y’all, but I can guarantee there was people who thought I was a total piece of shit at that age. You grow, you change. Also he’s playing with mostly adults, he needs to keep an edge at that level.

  21. mek284

“I think it’s fair to say that the Philadelphia Flyers made the most surprising move of the NHL Draft in drafting Russian prospect Matvei Michkov 7th overall.”

First sentence of the article starting off with a wildly false statement. Never clicking on an article from this website again.

  22. Aarondirtysanchez

Teacher here: they are almost all egotistical pieces of shit til like early 20s and beyond. This is a completely nothing statement.

I like the confidence that he think he can be a franchise guy, but he’s also setting himself up for a pretty bad fall if he doesn’t perform.

  23. JNova69

If he didn’t say he wouldn’t leave the khl to the coyotes and capitals then the flyers probably wouldn’t of gotten him, he’s a dominant and confident player who is going to be a leader on the ice. When he matures and the edge goes into his game and not belittling his teammates he will be a force

  24. Effingcheese

All I can say is, “Haters gonna hate.”

  25. Dental_Hygene433

10-31 franchises and their fans are pissed/jealous that this guy did not want to play for their favorite team. Yeah, the NHL doesn’t like it, but if he wants to play he’ll mature
