It would be nice if we could sign some rugged Canadian players. I see we drafted zero Canadian kids this draft. I feel, unfortunately, our chances of a Stanley cup will be poor if we don’t get more Canucks in the lineup. Look at the Stanley Cup winners and they always have a good percentage of Canadians….here in Canada hockey is a religion and when the going gets tough the tough gets going, just a thought…..enjoy your show Jon.
Bridge deals for Laf and Miller leave them lined up to run at Kane near the deadline for 2-2.5. If they dunp Goodrow they can go higher or even get him now and LTIR him. It's absolutely possible now.
The kids need to have consistent top six minutes this year, not only for their future but for the teams future. Idk how the Rangers stay cup competitive if 2/3 don't become top six players. Lafreniere was serious a year ago when he offered to switch to RW in order to get top six minutes. Gallant never took that seriously (one of the reasons Gallant is no longer employed imo) Also, the Rangers tried breaking up Zibanejad and Kreider last year, and it just didn't work. Given that and assuming no Goodrow buyout, the forward lines as I see them are:
