  1. Detroits on the horizon finally. Red Wings are going to be one of the interesting and funnest teams to watch next year.

  2. As a Canucks fan, it’s all making sense what Yzerman is doing and I saw it when they moved Hronek to my team. We got the short end. He’s flush with picks and prospects and he used his cap space and some excess assets to get a 25 year old who could potentially score 40 goals per season going forward. He had over 60 points in what was a down year for him. This is how you run a hockey club. You don’t buy older players when you’re not even a playoff team, have very few prospects and very little cap space. My guess is, pending injury problems, Detroit will get better quickly and probably be a contender before we know it. This is how you run things if you’re a GM.

  3. Detroit now has 4 right handers in their top 6.
Kubalik was not an automatic resigning next summer as if he had a good season he would have asked too much or shipped off by TDL. Sebrango could just not crack the lineup.
Plus they have about $8 million in salary cap space.

  4. The Cat is a great player. Too bad he keeps being traded from one rebuilding team to another. Maybe Detroit is further along than Ottawa or Chicago right now, but he would look good back in Chicago on a line with Bedard and Hall.

  5. Born in Farmington hills, Michigan, grew up a Wings fan, and idolized Steve Yzerman and Pavel Datsyuk. This kid is going to give it his damn all, every night. Great trade!!

  6. I knew the Islanders were not going to get DeBrincat. All the talk about trading for him was just that. All talk! They had nothing the Senators would want in any kind of trade to begin with. 🤨

  7. No doubt DeBrincat will score 26 goals year as his slide downhill continues.
