  1. Only if they can get their defense fixed. From what I'm seeing, Alex DeBrincat isn't very good defensively. So, if they give up more goals then they can score than no. They already had that problem before they made the trade.

  2. There is no fleecing here. Debrincat was a RFA and Senators didn't loose more than they paid for Debrincat, given he did play with them for a full year. They got in return what they paid to acquire Debrincat. As a sens fan, I did like Debrincat, but just so you are prepared, he doesn't drive the play. He will be an excellent scorer, but he will need to be fed and when the team is struggling, Debrincat won't be the player to take them out of their rut.

  3. I expect Detroit will be making Post season next year.

    Lalonde and Co will slightly overachieve with the roster.
