the problem I have with the Connor Brown signing is that 1. there were many comparable players to brown that signed for cheaper (Duchene, Pacioretty -same aav but much cheaper than his last deal-, Wheeler etc) and 2. Holland is allocating too much resources for next year and not thinking ahead. He put all his effort into next year's run when we didnt have much cap space and when we did not have the upgrades we needed on defense to truly have a cup winning roster. He should have avoided brown and been more proactive and creative in finding a trade that brings a comparable guy on a 2 year contract even if it means trading one of our bottom 6 guys away.
Why have the Oil not signed Lavoie to a contract. He's still shows as RFA
