Well, maybe playing better last season would’ve helped your trade value there Kuzy. 🙄

Well? We’re waiting…..

Sit him down and say if he tears it up in the first half of the year, we can consider moving him so we can get a good haul for him. Otherwise we dgaf

Thank you Kuzy…

I don’t care if Kuzy is here or not, just gotta get someone in here who can fill his role in the top-6, PP, and PK. Playing under a new coach could do wonders for him as far as finding his game again. Really a no-pressure situation for the Caps.

I feel like he’s been asking for a trade for a couple seasons now

He better play his way out of here than.

It’s pretty obvious that Kuznetsov and Laviolette didn’t get along and Mac had made it clear that anyone who wasn’t on Laviolette’s good side was as good as gone. Not surprising that Kuznetsov wanted to go elsewhere.
Washington has always favored Backstrom over him and lately they’ve been drafting Centers in McMichael, Lapierre, Protas and Leonard (though he’s played considerable time on the wing he’s a natural Center).
Add in Strome and it’s easy to see how Kuznetsov could feel like he’s forced out by both the organization and the coach.
