hard NO. they have made some really bad decisions over the years.
A good amount of 1st rounders that played less than 250 games for the Canucks. That takes a toll over time. The bigger factors are the Canucks trading their picks outright, or recently picked players too early (as you pointed out).

And it's still too early to say about Danila Klimovich, Connor Lockhart and Lucas Forsell. Gillis put together the best team we've ever had, but he royally fumbled our drafting. I always felt like we stood a shot at drafting someone good when Benning was at the helm.
