  1. Guhle imo was put in an unfair position because he was no where near ready to play on the top pairing even if Edmunson and Matheson were injured.Kovacevic was an even on a really bad team so he was obviously a capable defenseman and I been saying it forever that Harris is a good solid all around D man that fits really well on a third line but if injuries he is capable of playing second line and not hurt the team.
Guhle imo looked borderline bad last year he struggled versus better competition.IMO Guhle will not be ready this year either he just didn't show me he has it yet but I an not saying give up on him just make sure he is only a second or third pairing D man.

  2. Iwish people would quit talking about points as that is the be all that ends all I would rather see a Vegas like lineup full of players with a PLUS stat meaning they are outplaying their opposition. If for example Guhle got 60 pts but was a minus -15 he is not playing like a winner and that is the goal we want …to win.

  3. Mark my words, in two years , Galley will be LTIR'ed. His body can barely keeo up as it is, two more years of his style and he's gonna " call it quits " Half for his health and future life, half for the Habs being able to use that cap space.

  4. Hoffman wasn't that bad at times he was "sufficient".Gallagher frustrates me because he has to be the easiest player ever to knock off his skates.Price's contract also was bad from day 1 you don't pay goalies 10 million that is insane.

  5. Old news. Savard holding back Guhle goes back to Oct. Great shot blocker. Ideal for PK. And reliable, safe 1st pass. But maybe one of the last remaining D in the league that can't skate on his edges which limits his mobility. And as a Right D, he's often at the left side of the net leaving the opponent open on his side for a lot of goals against.

  6. Don't be shy to say it. Gallagher is being paid for what he did. Anderson in my opinion is paid accordingly for a 20 G power forward that can skate. Not many around eh?

  7. Why are people freaking out with Gallagher's cap hit of 6.5M signed a 6 year contract in oct 2020 ?

His cap hit ratio to team cap will reduce as team cap will increase…
    20-21: 6.5m/ 81.5m= 8%
    21-22: 6.5m/ 81.5m= 8%
    22-23: 6.5m/ 82.5m= 7.9%
    23-24: 6.5m/ 83.5m= 7.8%
    24-25: 6.5m/ 87.5m= 7.4%
    25-26: 6.5m/ 92.0m= 7%

Also, ALL NHL teams always carry 2 or 3 bad contrats in their lineup…
    C'EST LA VIE!!

  8. Gallagher is healthy again and will do better than most of you think. Why bag on him so much? Ya the cap hit is not great but cap space is not our problem, its too many forwards. Gallagher is captain material and way more valuable than a Hoffman or Armia etc.

  9. I like Matheson but he is not a great player. He has been improving yearly for sure and played well in a short sample in Montreal but great player?

  10. Your not getting it !!!! Savard is a worse defensive partner , edmonson was second worst…. savard should play goalie!! thats all he does is screen the goalie & if they dont put him in goal , he can be the zamboni because thats all he does is slide around the ice

  11. Gallagher is the worst contract by far …Trying to say another player has that distinction is pure Bull Shit !

  12. Should make a video about which prospects are expendable in a trade! Some tough decisions coming especially on defence…

  13. Gallagher contract is the worst. 4th line player unless he can actually stay healthy. If they can get rid of Armia then it's not as bad. Bergevin should never have been allowed to dish out those horrid contracts.

  14. I’ll wait for the start of the season to know for sure but recently Galy was not keeping up with NHL pace, and was not even close. Injuries maybe and or age? Or whatever but his cardio appears to not be good enough to keep up.

  15. Carey Price should be mentioned. My favourite goalie don’t get me wrong but if we are talking contract/$$$ it’s him

  16. All of Gallagher's linemates who made him look like he was worth 6.5mil are gone. (Danault, Tatar, Galchenyuk, Lehkonen, etc.)

  17. Kovasevic wasn't fun to watch but I'm willing to give him another shot, the whole season last year was a write off

  18. Gallagher 6.5, Allen 4.5, Hoffman 4.5, Armia 3.4. Four contracts that I wish the Habs didn't have but we just have to wait them out unless you pay a team to take them now. 18.9 million that I could see going to better places. Go habs go

  19. Savard with the A for the next two years then it’s Guhle. Once Gallagher goes on LTIR like Webber and price in a year or two…Caufield will replace him as the other A

  20. Like i said before it's all depends on what is expect from the players and the Return on the investment (ROI). Take Brendan Gallagher 6,5 M$ x 6 yr contrat = 33 M$. he is the highest paid Right Wing of the Montréal Canadien therefore anything else than first line is a waste of Money !

  21. Bergevin made NO mistake in giving that contract to Gally. We need his heart and soul and commitment to the CH more than ever now. He could score 10 goals and 20 points, and he'd still be the best veteran leader we have left now that Hughes has traded all the other ones…for not enough, IMO.

  22. Savard seems to be a marginal 3rd pairing D who when he needs to can dig down and play above his skill level…like he did in the '21 Playoffs and caught the attention of Habs management. There is some value of keeping him until next seasons trade deadline for his veteran leadership, but if he plays top pairing minutes you have to lower expectations. The only RHD that I think might do better on first pairing in the immediate future would be Kovacevic (which is an indication of how far they are from icing a competitive team). If they give Guhle 2nd pairing responsibility he will excel and progress.

  23. Guhles numbers were just bad bc jo and Savard are terrible and washed players. Pair him with them meant he had to covered for those two bozos 😂😂

  24. He's gonna be an important Dman like Mcdonnah can't spell his name lol. But a solid d in defense and offense is a bonus 20 to 40 points max. Just a solid D is what he needs to be.

  25. Gallagher has to become a defensive forward kinda like Brett Hull became, just play solid d, and hopefully can get pp time and get 20 goals.
