  1. at least we have at least 3 stanley cup tp remember when we will suck… its only sad for the new fans

  2. Dubas already strapping the cap in pittsburg. They didn't need Karleson…

  3. Bright young mind? Just cause you’re Canadian and he’s Canadian. You need to be honest with your journalism. That’s why I cannot subscribe to your channel. It pops up on my feed but more and more. It’s wasting my time I’ve tried to give you the benefit of the doubt just ain’t working.

  4. Pens have to rebuild anyways, the old guys don’t want to be on a team rebuilding and the organization is repaying Letang, Crosby and Malkin for the 3 cups by trying to keep things going.

    I think it’s fine.

  5. Oh cares when they get in trouble in the future, every team eventually falls from grace, might as well go for it all while Crosby, Malkon and Letang are here.

  6. the pens can't go to rebuild when those 3 guys (crosby/malkin/letang) have still something to offer they must go all in until they can't. maybe this is the last try, maybe there is one other after that. but until it's clear and aknowledge they are washed, they need to try. no other way to do it with those 3.

  7. I just really, really hope that Crosby is still elite in 2025. NHL plz, I'm begging you. Let the World Cup of Hockey happen. For once.

  8. When Sid (of all people) has to bring the sandpaper and grit and mix shit up like he has the last couple years, because ZERO of their fourth liners think they should have to, then you have problems.
So add another prima Donna to the d core, see how this shakes out. Did they add ANY hard-nosed players?

  9. Buddy did you do any research at all? EK met with Sid and Tanger and they're all pumped. They will be much better than last year

  10. It’s so funny – after that trade news came out, I thought to myself “Uh-oh, the Pens are coming!”.

  11. I think dubas is a super risky gm. it seems he doesn't care about how much he has to pay. it's a win now and let the next gm worry about my mistakes. idk though i may be wrong

  12. I don’t know. Father Time haven’t hit Crosby yet. It might never hit him. Look at Berg from Boston, went out elite. And no offense to him but Crosby is a generational talent.

  13. Dubas already grabbed Adam graves and has petterson to play with letang and karlsson. Completely remade the bottom six and added Reilly. Puzzle seems to fit, like 2 great o dmen with 2 really good anchors, I mean either letang or karlsson will be on the ice for 55 minutes a night….it's the same down swing in a couple years without this move.

  14. Getting rid of all of Hextall mistakes in one trade is mine boggling. Nice job. When the rebuild happens in a few years Dubas will be the perfect man to handle it. Now get your EK65 Jersey. On sale now!

  15. I've been a Leafs fan since I was 4 years old.

I'll cheer for any Canadian team over any American team any day…

…But even I would still love to see Crosby win one more Stanley Cup, while he and his team still have a chance. Because I will be honest, once Crosby, Malkin, & Letang retire, Pittsburgh is gonna have to rebuild. They've had that same core for almost 20 years now. They've got other good players like Guetzel but they're gonna need a new core.

  16. “Karlsson is just another Letang” I am no Pens fan by any means but that’s just an asinine thing to say. Letang is far more physical than Karlsson and is a better two-way defenseman.

  17. Personally it seems like Dubas has a plan imo. He prioritized guys like Eller, Nieto, etc in the bottom 6. Smith in thte top 6. who are VERY strong defensively. KNowing he is gonna get offense from his blueline via EK65, Letang, etc

  18. Dubas has people talking about the penguins in the off-season. The man knows how to sell tickets

  19. Dubas did the exact same thing in Toronto and we all know how it ended with him getting fired, Pens are old and slow, Dubas is turning the Penguins into the Maple Leafs 2.0 Lol it's gonna be fun to watch them crash and burn

  20. 3 of the 4 of them are 36 or older…

If it doesn't happen next year (and it won't), its not gonna work out.

    They only have 2 lines

  21. The risk is that you fade into oblivion like you were going to anyways, the benefit is a potential shot at a cup for the next few years, maximizing the Crosby/Malkin/Letang window.

  22. The pens are my team but I don't predict any form of success for the upcoming season. The goaltending is garbage and bottom 6 sucks

  23. The Pens will be in big trouble no matter what when the big 3 retired, that's not new

  24. the Pens organization has high standards, and they owe it to Sid and Geno and Kris to try to win another Cup now. I expect them to bring back Fleury this season, too.

  25. Risky picking up a declining, defensive liability of a defenseman, who had an anomaly of a productive season last year? Risky is nowhere near strong enough a word.

Just glad Dubas is off destroying some other team for a change.

  26. Dubas made moves to build around Matthew's and Marner and they aren't anywhere come playoff time so, you're in a bind there in Toronto. The Leafs regardless suck no matter what you do. Passing the 1st round for the first time in 20 years was a joke and will only happen that one time.

  27. They gave up so little for the caliber of player they got in ek that I don't find this risky at all. Even if it doesn't work out, shedding the contracts they did was worth the picks, then you throw ek on top of it and just seems like this trade is nothing but a big win for Pittsburgh.

  28. I don’t get why this is deemed so risky. They gave up a 1st and 2nd which most likely are mid rd picks. If EK shits the bed then the rebuild may start earlier but it’s coming this team is going to have a few rough years to restock after The core is done, a 1st and a 2nd isn’t going to change that so why not take one or two more shots.

  29. Karlsson is 33, what are you on about? They have a 2-3 year window w Sid, Geno and Letang, they don't care about the future beyond that because this is their last best chance, these next, say, two years. Thought that would've been obvious yeesh.

  30. Characterizing these moves, where Dubas did the best he could and probably the best possible to erase all of Hextall's botched, utterly unresearched trades and acquisitions, as "risky" just seems lazy and clickbaity. Was it "risky" to find a way to move out Granlund and acquire a 1st-ballot HOF defenseman in the process? Maybe in some sense, if you squint and look past Crosby and Malkin's retirement. But when you set aside all the cap space shuffling, Dubas was able to unload Granlund, and acquire Karlsson for a first round pick. That is a great effort by a GM, regardless of what unfolds this season.

  31. stupid video titles like this one are why this channel has become trash. age means nothing. look at the 08 wings dude

  32. He's definitely not another Letang.

Letang can play defense when he actually wants to

  33. They were always gonna go for it.. it’s the right move even if they don’t win.

Make Crosby & co last years exiting, give them a chance. That’s all that matters.

Kicking of a rebuild with those guys still there was not on the table. So no it’s not risky, it’s exactly what was expected.

  34. EK65 must be the quarterback in pp. Letang, Malkin and Crosby must let the puck over to EK. Then they gonna get lots of open goals.

  35. Thing is, Pens already made their bets earlier. Meaning the moment they gave extensions to Geno and Kris, the cards were on the table and it doesn't really matter who's playing them 'cause folding ain't an option. All Dubas really can do is swing for the fences here and to be fair the trade was pretty good for Pens as well or as good as can be.

Only thing they could have done better is not retain salary on Petry, get more retention to Karlssons deal and maybe deal a third to Montreal instead of a second. But that's a GM-mode trade and not a real world trade and this could have gone much worse too in terms of giving up picks and prospects.

  36. I mean they probably have 1 last shot, maybe 2 if stars allign.
It's great they go for it.
They have no prospects or good young players anyway so there is no reason to start the rebuild this year. And they still have a lot of picks next 3 years (missing only two 1sts, two 2nds, two 3rds, all 4ths..)

  37. There is going to be a brutal rebuilding process ahead regardless. It happens. The last time it happened to Pittsburgh, they got Crosby and Malkin from it.

The rebuild is coming soon, but it is not here yet, so the important thing at the moment is to grab another Stanley Cup or two before then.

  38. Dubas' biggest problem remains he undervalues the goalie position. like the trade but Jarry has to bounce back or it's gonna end in failure
