I still have faith in Husso. Sometimes I feel like he was expected to do the whole job on his own. What ever happened to the idea of teamwork?

Husso was injured late last year, was sat and told he would not play the rest of the year. Shut down mentally! Then was asked to come back. March and April was not his fault. I don't think he was ready to come back and play. 🏒
By the end of the season neither Veleno or Fabbri will be playing for the Wings.
Veleno will be a healthy scratch most nights. I see Kasper taking his spot pretty quickly this season.
There were a dozen games where Husso was the best guy on the ice. Husso will be fine. We need our backups to perform and Lalonde not to overwork him.
I don’t want to see Veleno, Fabbri, Chairot, and Lidstrom here at seasons end. I think Perron will retire, he’s 36 on his last year. If Fabbri is healthy I think he’ll be sold at the deadline if he can even be moved otherwise we’ll have him for another season. Love his play, hes just made of glass. I’d like to see Chairot sold at the deadline even if we have to retain some salary. Lidstrom will be put on waivers for Edvinson. Veleno still hasn’t signed and if he does I think this is his last year to prove himself. He won’t beat Yzerman in a game of chicken. I’m over Veleno.
These moves create the space needed for Edvinson, Soderblom, Kasper, Hanas or Mazur, and Johansson or Wallinder. Not bringing these guys up by the end of the season will hold up the rebuild. We need to roll these top prospects into the roster over the next couple of seasons. We’ve got Pellika, Lombardi, Danielson, Savage, Buium, and others….. And let’s not forget Cossa. He will hopefully be pushing for a roster spot 24/25 season.
The only one who came up and stuck last season was Bergs. Edvinson showed well in his games. Soderblom showed well in his. They both need some consistency in their game and I think Edvinson has more of that than Soderblom. With that said some more time in GR for Soderblom will do him well. Kasper looks ready. We’ll see what happens at camp. He could make the roster out of camp and that would be the end for Veleno. Wallinder needs the AHL time. I look at him being ready 24/25 with possible calls up later this season. Johansson is ready for his 9 games at minimum this year. Hanas is ready for his 9 games. Injuries should allow us to get these guys up and get their shot.
