I didn’t love the pick initially, but from what I’ve read about the kid since we drafted him I like his energy. I can’t wait to see this kid play with the big boys one day

Hope Eason does well with the Leafs. I’ve seen some highlights of him ( on Youtube ) and he has some great stick handling and shooting skills!
He kinda looks like a cross between Nylander and Tkachuk.
With his energy I’d love to see him turn into a 3rd line guy who can put up 15-20 goals, 35-45 points. I think that’s a reasonable ceiling for him and again his tenacity will be a welcomed addition. Although I doubt we see him for a good 3 years.
Any time you find yourself getting too worked up about a Leafs prospect, just go to Pension Plan Puppets and read Cathy Squires. A great writer but positive she ain’t. She’ll have you believing we have no worthwhile prospects before you get to to second paragraph.
Whatever « it » is I think this kid has it. Too hard of a worker with a decent head on his shoulders not to put it together.
That’s a future 1C right there (of a local peewee after school program rec league)
