  1. It was a beautiful moment. After seeing that and hearing that the Panthers beat the Bruins, I was so sure that the Leafs were going to go on a huge playoff run. Needless to say…that confidence died very quickly in round 2.

  2. This Leafs team couldnt even measure up to rosters Boston, Tampa and FLorida had at their peak…They had to wait until Tampa was depleted and worn out to get by them….Tampa outplayed them in that series but thats why hockey is better than all other sports because one bad bounce or mistake can change outcome

  3. Is the curse really "broken" if they only won ONE more game than they did in previous years? 🤣😂🤣

Keep grasping at those straws leaf fans. 😜

  4. I thought the curse of the maple leafs had to do with a toronto maple leafs employee and pedophile sexually assaulting children in Maple Leaf Garden for almost 20 years.

If you are talking about the curse of why the leafs will never win. It is because they dont have to. Canadians are one of the dumbest groups of people on earth. The leafs sell out every game, because the seats are owned by corporations. Why bother to spend money and win, when all you need is the name of a outdated former star to get people to shop up.

I laugh every year when the loser leaf fans think they are going to win. The last time the leafs won there were only 5 other teams, tvs were black and white. The automobile was finally widely available in canada. The leafs are the perfect representation of canada. A nation of corrupt officials and losers

  5. I remember I got up from bed (I live far away from North America) and running to my phone. I got onto YouTube to watch the highlights. When he scored, I jumped in excitement. Great content btw

  6. Tavares did score in that game seven against Tampa, but the goal was nullified by a debatable obstruction call against now-former Leaf, Justin Holl.

  7. One of your last sentences says it all – John Tavares' 1st series-winning goal is a goal the Leaf's fans will remember forever! Not bad for an 11 million cap-hit player!

While his shot would have missed the goal by about three feet without the deflection, the decision to shoot in the first place was very good – I understand that 100% of the shots you don't take, won't go in. And with some traffic in front – so why not?

  8. Being British and supporting the leafs it was hard for me to see the game because it was at 1 o clock in the morning but I will always remember my dad telling me they won just after the game

  9. Never realized that Tavares' spin move was the last moment of the past two series vs Tampa vut with different results until you brought it up. Seems fitting

  10. It didn’t end any curse unless the only goal the leafs had was to get out of the first round lol. They got completely exposed by the 16th placed panthers in round 2 but congrats on doing something nearly the entire league has done in the last 5 years lol.

  11. Knies deserves a lot of credit for that play in OT. I will always say that losing him in the Florida series is one of the main reasons they ended up losing so quickly. Maybe they still would’ve lost with him in the lineup, but I think they at least would’ve stood more of a chance with him then without.

  12. i was in the tailgate crowd for that game, it was crazy when they finally did it, everyone screaming, someone near me literally bawling
