Il a le sentiment que Pettersson est confiant dans ce que les Canucks ont maintenant, mais il veut voir les résultats. – Petey sait que ce sera son plus gros contrat mais cela ne l’inquiète pas vraiment. Il veut s’assurer que tout va dans la bonne direction. – Friedman pense que les Canucks sont prêts à le payer et à le payer à long terme. – « Le gars veut juste gagner. Donc gagner va être difficile. – Friedman dit que les Canucks peuvent se concentrer uniquement sur ce qu’ils peuvent contrôler sans regarder les autres équipes autour d’eux. – Friedman dit que Petey aime la façon dont la saison dernière s’est terminée, il pense que Tocchet les poussait dans la bonne direction. – Friedman évoque les commentaires de Miller sur les deux dernières saisons qui étaient une émission de merde et que tout s’est calmé avec Tocchet et dit que Petey ne dira pas cela directement, mais il pouvait dire que c’était ce qu’il pensait. – Il pense que pour Petey, il s’agit avant tout d’avoir un plan et une bonne direction pour l’équipe. – Il a dit que Petey parlait de certains de ses grands moments et mentionnait toujours la foule à Vancouver. * Seems like Allvin and Pettersson have a verbal agreement. This is good. Petteson wants to be more like McDavid. He’s already the main offensive dynamo for our team and all offense will run through him. I am excited to see how much stronger and better Pettersson is after the season he had.

* Man, I have been saying this for a while now. Seattle is going to be a better team that Vancouver for the foreseeable future. Their team is built like Vegas-lite. Once they get their own Eichel, it’s going to be a heavy team that is disciplined and tough to play against.

* Now that Benning is gone, hopefully Allvin laid out the plans for Pettersson to see what areas we would be improving in.
It’s cool he’s back in Sweden to be closer to his trainer, but bringing his own lunch to an interview to stick to a dietary plan is commitment. Pettersson is coming into his prime production years and sounds like he’s been on a tear this offseason.
He’s going to have a monster season, he’s going to get paid, and he’s going to be worth every penny.
I hate being a pessimist but I am preparing for the fact that Petey will be on the trade market at the end of this season. I’m not saying it’s a sure thing, just that it’s hard to put faith in this team to make the playoffs after being let down year after year. Basically just keeping my expectations low so I can’t be disappointed, but also this team always manages to find a new low so ¯_(ツ)_/¯
My only hope is that if this season is another tire fire, we blow it up for real.

I still would take Canucks forwards over most of the pacific.
There’s no reason for them not to be just as good as the elite teams when your core consists of Demko, Hughes, Pettersson, Kuzmenko, and Miller. If Tocchet can get them to play the right way then they’re going to surprise a lot of people.
I agree the oilers and Vegas are much better than the Canucks but are the kings and kraken really that far off? I would argue they both got weaker this off season.
It’s crazy how one good season in Seattle got everyone onboard their bandwagon. My feeling is that they regress this year as we all know progress isn’t linear. LA got Dubois but also gave up a lot of depth , hard to say how that will turn out.
I never heard the Miller comment about the last two years being a shitshow. Was this a shot at Bruce Boudreau?
How is Seattle A LOT better than us? We can’t say that based off last season where we had AHL level goaltending for 50~ games and totally revamped our D/bottom 6.
If canucks don’t have a good start we basically can count on Petey being gone. Sad how we drafted a #1 center, #1 D and #1 goalie yet we have been so bad
