This year feels different, but I also am well aware of how devastating it is to blow leads and lose in the playoffs – Y’all blew it, but much respect for Bolts – I really respect your acknowledgement of how the Leafs might be a bit different this year. But I am also well aware of blowing Playoff Game leads – I am still terrified and will continue to require a defibrillator on standby, as per usual. Eh sorry bud. That loss was almost (not even close, but similar) to when we lost in game 7 against Boston in 2013. We were up 4-1 with 10min and lost in OT. As a seasoned Leafs fan, every bone in my body is convinced Tampa still wins this series
I picked the Leafs in 5 right after the final game of the season. I did not expect them to do it by winning 4 in a row, but whatever. Sorry about that but I want the Leafs rested for the second round. I hoped that Florida would take Boston to 7 games. As a Leafs fan I have witnessed the total collapse of my team so its nice when another great team is the one doing the collapsing. The Leafs have to end it on Thursday night. They cannot go back to Tampa and they sure cannot go to a game 7. I expect game 5 will be a tough one. My stomach is already in knots.
Let’s fan here, great take on what happened it has been 17 years since we’ve seen the second round so we’re hoping we can break the curse and then beat the crap out of Boston for good measure. Hopefully you haven’t heard anything stupid from people getting out of line, May the best team win, have a great evening.
As a lifetime Leafs fan (more than 50 years), I feel your pain. A good, honest analysis of the game, for sure. I had pretty much given up the game as a lost cause for my team. Game 3 was also not looking good for us. The sad part is that we knew months ago that one of these two great teams would have to go home after round 1.
It is refreshing to see an honest analysis without any hatred or whining. Nice call on the reverse jinx, but we have been doing that for years and it has not worked for us. And by the way, I just did a reverse jinx on the bolts to cancel out your reverse jinx!

Know the feeling bro. This was the exact thing that happened to the Leafs back against Boston in 2013, albeit that was an elimination game so it hurt a bit worse. Feels genuinely weird to be on the other side of that as a fan haha but the series isn't over so I won't be able to rest until the Leafs finally do it. Either way good looking out, best of luck on the channel and keep up the good work!

As a long-time Leafs fan I was ecstatic but do understand how this was a soul crushing defeat for Tampa. In 2013, the Leafs were up 4 to 1 over Boston with 10 minutes left and ended up losing 4-3 in overtime. Identical result except what made it worse … It was Game 7.
Dude.. been feeling your pain for 48yrs.. the “reverse jinx”, been there done that. Might make you feel better if you research the Leafs playoff stats for the past 20yrs.. the jinx might not be required. The Bolts know what it takes, my Leafs, trying to learn. Enjoy the game!!
Dude… I SO feel your pain. We did this exact same thing against the Bruins IN A GAME 7 in 2013 – I will never get over it. Now keep in mind that this Leaf team has had several opportunities over the last several years to end a series including last year against you guys and have not got it done. So… IF we do not win game 5, I believe there is no chance at all we are going to win 3 games on Tampa ice where we have been really badly outplayed – in fact dominated for long periods of time so that means game 7 – again against the Tampa Bay effin Lightning with Vasilevskiy in net. This prospect makes me want to curl up in a ball… This is by Nooooo means over at all. I am 56 years old and have seen this team find ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory over and over and over again. Of course I am thrilled we have a chance to close it out at home in game 5 but I am as nervous as a long tailed cat in a rocking chair factory.
As a Leafs fan, I am not certain we have the team to get out of the East. Every series will be a dog fight, as it should be…no gimmes in the playoffs. Good job on the breakdown. Reverse jinxes haven't worked for any Leafs fan in the past. Game 5 will be entertaining!
As a Leafs fan I have a ton of respect for Tampa. That 5-4 loss you just experienced imagine it happening in a game 7. That's the pain us Leafs fans know about and have experienced. Leafs fans have been BORN into the PAIN. We've been FORGED by it. You will have to KILL us to beat us.
I wouldn't trust the Leafs. They always find creative and inventive ways … to lose. Don't forget that they are 0-10 in their last 10 7th games during the playoffs, and they haven't got past the first round since 2004. I am not going to be convinced until the buzzer sounds the end of their 4th victory in this round.

Tampa is a tough team but maybe getting a tad older. On the other hand, the Leaf’s haven’t won a first round in so long that it must be unreal the pressure their under. Maybe this is the year. If they do beat your team, jump on the bandwagon. If by god they were to win it all, you’ll never ever see a country collectively lose it’s mind quite like it again. That’s what it would mean for the blue and white to hoist the cup! The last time they did, i was just being born.

Tampa got a ruggid team they got the grit hands down, bar none. there is a difference between rough and ruggid and bullying though. stay away from the bullying part of it is my advice, karma's a bitch.
