My childhood right here. These were the days, I miss this excitement Sabres hockey used to bring. I was 14 years old the night this happened. Seems like yesterday. Wish it was.
I remember being in the plaza watching this game outside on the big screen tv. This is when the sabres were last a threat in the NHL. They haven't been the same since.
Update to this. I can't wait to be outside the arena for a summer playoff series in Buffalo again sometime.

The icing by the Rangers followed by a timeout was incredibly dumb, it allowed the Sabres to regroup and set up a play in the Rangers own end.

I was 5 yrs old and I remember throwing my dip'n dots into the air and screaming with all my hearts content. Great memory to remember.

While a game with all-time great Sabres moments, the fact they had so much trouble dispatching the Rangers definitely worried me about their chance to win the Cup that year.

I will literally never forget this game. 15 years later and it still brings tears to my eyes and memories of being a kid following the Sabres. To me, this was the Stanley cup. I was out in the plaza celebrating with all those beautiful Buffalonians. I've moved away some time ago – but Buffalo will always be in my heart. Go Sabres!
The greatest Sabres game I’ve ever seen
I went to the bills patriots playoff game last year.. and this STILL is my most treasured Buffalo sports memory. What a game, what a team, and god do I miss RJ. Let’s go Buffalo.
