Pronman and some other draft analyists talk about the ratings in the latest Athletic hockey podcast and is well worth listening to. There’s a section about Beniers at 29:50 and Pronman says « I think [Beniers] can be an Anze Kopitar type » and discusses him versus guys like Ownen Power and Dylan Cozens https://theathletic.com/podcast/240-the-athletic-hockey-show/?episode=668
One interesting thing I noticed about the ranking is that Wright is younger than almost every other player in his group (born 5 January 2004). The Flyers’ Cutter Gauthier is the only one younger (born 19 January 2004). Wright is still ranked higher than some high profile guys like Kaapo Kakko (2019 NRY 2nd overall pick) and Quinton Byfield (2020 LAK 2nd overall pick).
Based on this, Pronman thinks Wright is on-track to be a very good 2C but probably does not have the 1C ceiling that was the more common projection ahead of the 2022 draft.
