If he was injured in the first month of last season, that would explain why he didn’t do as well as he did the previous year
For all the hand-wringing over the team, I really feel last season was done in by bad luck than any other factor. If Mangiapane doesn’t get hurt and scores a few more times, they could have made the playoffs. I’m glad Mangiapane is ready to go.

I do think a big point increase this season is realistic for him. Last season he was fast and able to carry the puck through traffic but his shot wasn’t there. He had less than half the goals last season compared to the season before but he had more shots and more shots on goal last season. Now that he’s had his shoulder surgery I would expect him produce more.
