   I for one am glad. The dome is fine. It’s an amazing hockey environment and with the current economics of touring. I don’t see many big names people coming to Calgary anytime soon. If they do it will be with a festival or other outdoor venue.

   We don’t have the population density required for the residency style shows that have become popular with the bigger acts, even the road show acts. It’s tough to add Calgary because of our geography. We are legit in the middle of nowhere. Where is the next closet major Metro area over 1 m besides Edmonton.

   It’s either a long haul to Vancouver or Minneapolis. Outside of that the next one is maybe Salt Lake? That just doesn’t make logistical sense as once you hit Calgary. it’s at least a 2 day drive to the next market.
