I love how much he has grown as a human being and Captain,. This post I will be flamed for what I am about to say BUT. I honestly think he loves this city, the fans everything that comes with it, this is a guy that still loves the game of hockey like he did when he was a kid and he wants to win the cup here in EDMONTON in front of the best fans in the league because of it. Here comes the but, I don't think he resigns with the Oilers, honestly, even if we win the cup. I hope I am just an idiot and wrong cause I love the kid but I truly think it's CUP OR BUST and it will hurt him to leave also. Just like 99, but different reasons.
