L’espoir Ty Smilanic, acquis dans le cadre de l’échange Ben Chiarot, a décidé de quitter le Wisconsin et participera au camp des recrues (et, espérons-le, au camp principal) dans l’espoir de décrocher un contrat professionnel. Il y a une chance plus raisonnable, me dit-on, qu’il obtienne une AHL ou un accord bidirectionnel AHL/ECHL.

   Based on his numbers in college, starting in the ECHL seems most likely. But with our injury luck he’d have a good chance at getting AHL games

   He’s a really shifty skater in a prospect pool that don’t have many of those.

   Hope he doesn’t get down on himself too much if he doesn’t make the Laval roster and has to go to Trois-Rivières instead. He probably won’t be the only one.
