This fanbase has been miserable for 12 years. They’ve been through 2 rebuilds. For the love of God Buffalo make the playoffs.
It feels like a lot of strong starts to the season squandered, but with more teams that finished higher above them in the division diminished that could be what helps them get in.

Don't know why, but I get the feeling the Sabre's brass does not believe in Comrie. As it was, GM Adams tried to sign a bigger name goalie last year, but couldn't, and settled (I think) for Comrie.
I don't know why, but I feel like they're either going to finish with ~85 points or ~105 points. They still have big problems in net, so the factor that will determine how they do this season is whether or not they can outscore their subpar goaltending.

They just dont play defense…and dont hit and block shots….run and gun…part of this is the coach….should be interesting season to watch…Levi seems like big uograde to UPL
As a sabres fan Im so excited for the season to start the sabres will be a playoff team LET'S GO BUFFALO!
Entire team defense is the key to this teams success. they may loose a few goals, but they will win more games. Linus Ullmark played on a crappier Sabres team, but he went to Boston and was lights out. Got to limit the shots on the goalie. Hit someone every now and again too.
Is there somebody saying the Sabres aren’t on the rise or aren’t going to make the playoffs?
If they don’t make the playoffs, just drop a bomb on the entire franchise.
Being in key bank center when the bandits won the championship in buffalo this year, more than 17k fans going nuts for a non big 4 sports team. This city loves our sports teams, and I can't wait to feel that at a sabres game again. It's cautious optimism surrounding this team, just a buffalo thing…. but it feels a lot different than the last few years with everything around this team.

You didn't mention the one 'wild-card' that will have an effect on the way the Sabres perform this season…the passing of Rick Jeanneret! You are going to see a multitude of fans with signs that will say 'WIN THIS ONE FOR R.J.!' throughout the year, and that will be an incredibly powerful motivator for the players!

Devils fan here.This team is going to be what the Devils were last season. Not only do they make the playoffs, but I think they coast into playoffs and make it by a significant margin. The talent on this team is off the charts, and another year of majority will make a huge difference.
This goaltending will not make me feel comfortable no matter what.

The defense has to play average. They were the worst in own end last season. Its that simple
Ya know who was missing every game of that 8/9 losing streak?…tuch! N as soon as he came back, winning. He doesn't get hurt, we mighta got in.
