  1. Mika Zibanejad for… Derick Brassard, only to trade for Duchene after and you know the rest..

  2. It isn’t the biggest trade but Simmonds dem the devils to the sabres at the 2020 deadline made no sense

  3. As a Canuck fan, they picked Jake virtanen over toffoli.. and what OEL trade was so bad..

  4. I might not be understanding this correctly, but I believe the way waivers used to work back in the day was that the team claiming a player had to pay the previous team a dollar. Rather than getting a player for nothing, it cost $1. I don't know if that's really a "trade" so much as a waiver claim.

  5. Traded for a dollar flipped for a hoe?😅 what do you mean by that rob?

  6. You're forgetting the STRANGEST trade EVER in NHL History.
Ton 'Bussey' Martin was traded for a bus.
That';s right. a player was traded for a vehicle.

    Off google itself:
Tom Martin holds one distinction that no one in the NHL, and maybe the entire sports world, could claim about his playing days.
Martin, who was a fourth-round draft pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 1982, was traded for a bus — a used bus.

  7. They let toffoli walk because of a conditional 4th round pick would have been given up if he resigned.
This was jimbos attempt at saving draft picks folks lol

  8. Worse trade: Ron Francis, Ulf Samuelson and Grant Jennings to Pittsburgh Penguins for John Cullen, Zarley Zalapski and Jeff Parker. My dad loved the Whalers and that trade was the start of the end of the Whalers. My dad had season tickets for them.

As dad just said nothing could overtake that trade in stupidity!

Born 20 years too late to be a Whalers fan…

  9. Speaking of Larionov, and the Red Wings and trades. In the summer of 2000 the Wings let him in free agency only to acquire him in a trade in December of that same year.

  10. Come on, Rob! Hockey teams don't have ASSISTANT captains. They have ALTERNATE captains. YOU (of all people) should know that! 😂
