If the Leaf’s truly hope to make a run they really need to win the division. They’ve squandered the title a couple of times and it would be nice to finally see them win it.

have you watched the leafs play in the post season over past 3-4 years? the word terrible comes to mind. they are over hyped every year and then lose in the playoffs.
their defense and goaltending looks worse than last years. Which could be problematic in the division they are in Detroit, Ottawa and Buffalo are expected to improve . The leafs might be battling for a wild card spot this year.
Elite/expensive forwards. Mediocre goaltending. Mediocre defense.
Cant afford to keep their own prospects.
Overhyped/delusional fanbase.
This is the perfect formula for regluar season success. Cant wait for a 100 point seaon, only to be beaten out by the bottom seed BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Well there's no denying there a very good hockey team, its very tough to win in this league period. Its takes so many things to come together at the right time along with the BIG L word LUCK. So much parity in the league which makes it interesting and fun. I just wish everyone would relax on being so critical of the Leafs all the time. No place harder to play and deal with astronomical amounts of media even during practice and not just for the players , but the Office staff also. We've seen and ive heard what many thought as top Coaches and Gms say the can handle it and when they get here are stunned by just how overwhelming it is.
Now i didnt like the Klingberg signing at all myself and Reeves 2 yrs too many , but i understand the purpose of why they did that to a degree. Love the Bertruzzi and Domi signings and evenJones as insurance in case of injury to Sammy.or Woll of which both have had issue here and there. Im more interested in the bottom 6 as the top 2 lines im not worried about. I think Knies is with Matthews and Nylander, and Bertruzzi with Tavares and Marner, but a third line center is needed Domi will be third line and likely Jarnkrok. So im wondering who from the Marlies or a PTO can come out of no where and grab a good spot. Looking forward to the hockey season as always
Sorry to break the bad news to you but I saw in a crystal ball that Matthews has a season ending injury in game 8 and Marner has a season ending injury in game 15. There's always next year.
