Gibson has 4 more years @ 6.4. Don't see how King's can fit that cap hit. They'll probably look to add a goalie closer to the deadline.
Gibson's numbers were bad last year. Could be playing on the Ducks, but at 4 more years the acquiring GM would have to be sure he's going to rebound.
Quinn Hughes was a good choice for Canucks Captain–he's a good , young ,dynamic player. Thanks for another excellent report

the issue is Anaheim and La are huge rivals, they dont like each other much. Its called the freeway faceoff, and since they are so close together, I really dont think the ducks would be willing to send a big name player there, especially their number 1 goalie. Since the ducks and kings face each other like 4 times a year, gibson would be starting against Anaheim a lot and that could backfire on them. Like there has been basically no trades between the ducks and kings in their franchise history, its just they are so close and they have a lot of hatred towards each other

Re: Habs leadership…..great selections for alternate captains….Mattheson had a great year last year and Gally is still part of the "heart core" of the Habs. He deserves the recognition and gives his all every game.

Re: Habs and the Price contract… I've been very impressed with Kent Hughes and the moves he's made since he and Gorton came to Montreal. Damn impressive. I do hope, like with the Weber contract, Hughes can unload Price's contract and free up cap space. It will help the team. Habs have arguably the best stable of young talent in the NHL plus a good stockpile of draft picks upcoming. They are in an excellent position to sweeten any deal for a team to take Price's contract.

Kings would love to have Gibson, but have a feeling the Ducks are not keen on sending him to a division rival, especially when they're practically next door neighbors. If I had to guess, I'd say Gibson winds up in New Jersey. Kings need goaltending help for sure. Talbot's best years are behind him. if Carter Hart becomes available, would think the Kings would make a serious pitch for him. Maybe they call Minnesota, see what they want for Fleury.
if we can get anything positive back for the price contract, then let's do it. but who's taking that on and why?
if we're moving a goalie, i'd focus on moving desmith. either to chicago on his own for a 4th or so, or in a package for a good prospect, or to vancouver in a bigger deal.
for the hawks i was thinking desmith, riley kidney, and william trudeau for colton dach. for the canucks i was thinking desmith, dvorak, and lindstrom/kovacevic for myers, linus karlsson (prospect), and a pick.

why don,t they trade Price contract to arizona and throw in Gallager and keep haly of his contraci. kill two birds with one stone.
he has a no movement clause. there is literally NO trading price… why is this even a consideration. the only way they can eliviate Price is to buy him out or retire and become part of the organization. they don't NEED cap space per say so it's not really an issue at the moment.
