I wonder though, say his contract did get traded away, would he be able to be part of the Habs org still with all of their functions, or would he have to take a hiatus until his contract is finished?

I’d rather he be a Hab for life but I understand it’s a business
I just hope he ends up in a role where he doesn’t have a lot of influence but can still work with the team. Influential roles always end up being fired but something like a part-time scout and ambassador could stay around until old age.
I personally think that if you believe the Habs should not trade Carey Price’s contract for sentimental reasons, you are deeply unserious and should consider following a KPop band instead of a hockey team.
