  1. Me and my girlfriend attended this game, it was so cold but I'll always remember this game. It was so special to me, and in a way helped me say goodbye to my childhood heroes.

  2. Is that Chelli? Tell him to play defense

Announcer: who were you most looking forward to facing today?
Manny Legace: nobody i was hoping they wouldnt show up

  3. the problem for the leafs was that all their players were way older!🤣

  4. 10:03 Karen Newman used to sing the Anthem during the 90's for the Wings. Seeing her, Dandenault and LaPointe together brings back some great memories.

  5. 2:16:34 for a semi-epic shot of Gordie Howe leading Lidstrom and the all-time Wings out of the dressing room. RIP Mr. Hockey.

  6. Minus Rafalski, every single Wings defenseman in Game 2 is in the Hall of Fame. What an absurd lineup.

  7. I remember laughing my head off. My buddy and I at work in Sarnia when we worked for IPL, would listen to the Red Wing games on WJR "the flagship radio station for Red Wing hockey" and my buddy liked to give nicknames to the guys by changing their names to opposite their last names. For example, Phil Mickelson's name would be Phil Mickeldaughter, but my favorite was Dallas Drake. He became known to us two as Houston Duck. I'm still smiling as I type this!!

  8. I was looking to see if my defence partner would be in here, but he wasn't. I played only one year of organized hockey in my whole life. I played one year of Bantam house league in "C" "entry" level in Sarnia. My defensive partner was a guy they called "Tub" … he had a bit of a tummy. Big guy. He only lasted three games but I remember he laid out one guy in each game with ferocious hip checks before he was pulled off of "C" level and put up to AAA. In 1973, he was drafted number one in the first round in the WHA by the Chicago Cougars and drafted in the first round in the NHL, tenth overall. His career wasn't long but as a defenseman he played in 283 games. His name was Bob Neely and I've always wondered what ever happened to him. Since that year in Bantam, I married the year Bob was drafted and have played ever since, as a goaltender. I now live in Welland and play every day that we aren't locked down by COVID.

  9. 3:47:16 … "Goaltenders play for free". Really. How about you buy me my next set of goalie pads then. We sure don't play for free!!! We may not have to pay, but we sure don't play for free!!!

  10. The amount of legends playing for both teams especially the red wings is just awesome to see

  11. Well that was our last shot at a Domi-Kocur scrap..
