I have high hopes for the kid. I hope he at least gets to Cleveland. I’m excited for him. He’s kind of bedards slightly less equal or am I crazy?

The right move. There’s nothing left for this kid to learn in the Q. Hopefully they apply and it’s granted.

I like the move, but I doubt this will be approved. Wright played in 4 separate CHL seasons, and just missed the minimum games req by 1, due to injuries, international tournaments and shortened seasons. He also only misses the age req by 5 days. Dumais has only played in 3 CHL seasons, and misses the age by over 4 months. Wright’s waiver was granted because without things beyond his control he would have easily qualified. Dumais’ can’t qualify in any way other than being better than his peers. I just don’t see the league setting that kind of precedent, which will naturally lead to all of the top CHL players applying for early waivers.
