Any idiot that thinks the second hit was worse is either bias, or like I said an Idiot.
That first guy was almost at full speed, in fact he takes a hard stride then glides into the hit, the velocity is so great when the players head hits the board every part of his body BUT his head is in the Air.
The second guy is also moving quickly, but not as fast and with less room to get up to speed. BUT the cross check put the guy to the GROUND FIRST, NOT THE BOARDS. The player is also able to at least get SOME DEFENSE UP before hitting the boards.
Here is an example.
Head first jump into the wall, make sure when your head hits the rest of your body is in the air.
Then
Get on your knees in front of a wall and slam you head into the wall.
Then tell me the second is worse……..

I'm a habs fan, i love this rivalry, i wouldn't suspend either player, just 2 minutes for boarding. Everyone now a days sees a dirty hit and just calls suspension every time, the league is getting way to soft.
