Wow, I’m so excited for this season. Might not win a cup, but wow. He makes me excited for the first time in years. And with that said last year was excited and so was he but not like this season. It’s like his heart rate is at a cool 60 in that camera. Pete C gave him crap to work with past few years, but finally his fingers are staring make a different. Go oil, keep up the good work Ken and make the oilers a serious contender if not the champions of this year.
Holland is a genuine GM with winning experience. You have to appreciate the mentality of building a roster with players who are fulfilling their potential. It should be obvious, but letting most of the growth happen in the minors is the best way to develop.
Funny how he assembled the Red Wings dynasty, accomplishing all they did then go to Oilers, a team haemorrhaging for so long after the Gretzky era. May be he could bring back his old buddy, Mike Babcock since his employment status just opened up. I'm surprised he hasn't made any statement about the fiasco considering how much they went through together.
