The plan for Mikheyev that Allvin explained on Wednesday – before he left for personal reasons – was to participate in camp skating with the C group in a non-contact jersey (scheduled for Sunday).

I would rather he take it nice and slow returning so that he can hopefully stay healthy for the remainder of the season. Maybe he joins the team during the first road trip?

It wouldn’t be training camp without a little air of mystery.

Good.

I hope they slow-play working Mikheyev into the lineup while he ramps up.
I don’t hate the idea of rolling with Blueger/Mikheyev as a duo, and using that as a bit of a defensive/checking/pk line.
Then as the season progresses and Mikheyev ramps up, start to work him into top-6 minutes.

I hope they don’t rush him in. If he needs to miss a couple of games to get up to speed then so be it

I think it’s pretty clear what’s going on, with the leaving early for family reasons, and the returning but no scrimmaging: Mikheyev caught cooties. He had to leave to see the cootie doctor to get them removed (which is a very personal thing), and he can’t play with others yet just in case he still has them, as they are highly transmissible through touch.
This is elementary people, really easy to put together from the clues.

Mikheyev is back, he was just walking downtown with podz.
