  1. Sokolov could be a gem.
    Definitely got a skill set.
Bailey could be a beauty of a pto if he is as motivated as it appears.
He has extremely good vision on the ice.
Pinto is a guy i believe to be the black ace. This kid is good and just needs ice time.
They busted his butt in contract talks because of cap but he really could be a 30-40 kinda guy.
    Better depth than people think.
Sanderson is gonna be really good.

  2. Whatever happens With the SENS…. We all know what's gonna happen to the leafs😅

  3. His coaching record kina close to NHL 500, I didn't realize that. Hope the Sens comes out strong for Ottawa

  4. – More depth
    -Norris
    -Goalie
    – Our core is young and only gaining more experience
    We up!

  5. Hard to say i want them to be better and win the cup along with Buffalo Winnipeg Vancouver Florida Nashville Columbus San Jose Phoenix Minnesota Seattle

  6. The overhanging cloud of batherson and the 2018 team canada investigation and when that comes out.. oh boy

  7. I think the Sens can make the playoffs just fine lineup-wise, I'm just still not sold on the coaching.

  8. The Sens like Buffalo last year hoped for the best with their goaltending and didn't shore up the defense. Buffalo missed the playoffs despite an epic offensive season and an okay defensive one because the goaltending except for Craig Anderson every third or fourth night was so bad.
Dorion chose to mostly ignore the goaltending last year When Talbot and Forsberg proved to be insufficient they had no other answer. he had used up his cap flexibility on the shiny objects Giroux and Debrincat. Giroux had a great year bit Ottawa's offense was mediocre (18th in the league) at 3.17 gpg. The year prior to that it had been 26th (2.73 gpg) so it improved but not enough. The defense meanwhile gave up 31.4 shots against per night. That was 18th in the league ,which is again mediocre and their goalies gave up a 20th worst 3.29 goals per game. Ottawa with all their moves iced a mediocre out of the playoffs team.
This year they needed to fix the goaltending and the defense. I like Korpisalo but I think they could use another veteran goalie. Korpisalo at his best is an average NHL goalie. The defense is a year older somaybe will improve internally as their youngsters improve. Aside from Zub Ottawa doesn't seem to have an actual defensive defenseman. That's where I would have spent my money adding a defender better than Hamonic to the mix and maybe another goalie
Instead Dorion saw another flashy object in Tarasenko and spent his money there. I fear tarasenko if he succeeds its because he drains points, on the power play , from Giroux.
I think Ottawa's offense is better this year. Im not sure their defense is. If their defense isn't more stable I think the competent Korpisalo finds himself in more of a columbus than LA situation. He does well with structure not as well in the mdst of Chaos. If the goaltending doesnt work Dorion has no space to go fix it.
I'm looking for a repeat of last year where ottawa gets closer but misses again through not addressing actual needs.
Norris back helps and for goodness sake get Pinto signed.

  9. This team is making the playoffs this year:

    Tkachuk – Stutzle – Tarasenko
    Giroux – Norris – Batherson
    Greig – Pinto – Kubalik

    Chabot – Chychrun
    Sanderson – Brannstrom
    Kleven – Zub

    Korpisalo
    Forsberg

  10. I think it will really come down to the first two months, and the players (specfically the goalies) staying healthy.

  11. As a Wings fan I'm excited for a rejuvenated, young Sens team. Us two along with Buffalo should hopefully be battling it out until the end of the season for a playoff spot, so I'm expecting some very good and intense games!

  12. Ottawa will be a really interesting team to watch this season. Really hoping Korpisalo can give them solid goaltending, they could be a dangerous team. And I’m a Flyers fan

  13. They had a horrible season as far as luck goes last year…the hockey gods are swinging back in their favor this year and they're gonna have a massive year. Record setting seasons for points for 5+ of their top players potentially.

  14. I think if the sens get good goaltending they could be the best team in the Atlantic next year, chabot, chychrun, sanderson, zub on the blue line is unbelievable

  15. If Ottawa employs Giroux, I will cheer for them while I wait for Philly to suck less.

  16. The east is brutal. Sens definitely have a chance but I think they are more likely to not make the playoffs.

  17. As a Sens fan I would like to say yes we will, but sadly I do not think this year. Others like Detroit with cat improved, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh with EK probably are ahead of the Sens for playoffs.

  18. One thing with this now is it looks like Pinto is gone… I still really hope the Sens are a playoff team but he is a loss for sure

  19. Shannon says Timmy will break the Great One’s single season goal record with 100+? I’m on board

  20. Atlantic division is a beast but I think the Sens can finish top 3 but I’d be happy with even just a wild card. The only 2 questions I have and will probably the legacy or firing of Dorion…1) Korpisalo…3rd starting “prized” goaltender in 3 years brought in…Murray was a bust here; Talbot just couldn’t stay healthy enough…Korpisalo, if he comes a strike, then Dorion is out. The other question is Norris…along with many others remaining healthy enough to play at least 70+ games.

  21. I think it’s possible you have to think Bruins and leaf’s will eventually get weaker and Florida is banged up Tampa will be the team to beat in the Atlantic and sabres and wings are rising

  22. As a Sens fan, I am super excited! But the Atlantic is going to be a meat grinder this year
