The future is bright with some of these defenders. I hope Brzuatewicz makes it big with us.
The Athletic’s depth chart article today noted that Alriksson got a bit more of a look than the other juniors at camp — he ended up getting a day with the main group — so he likely impressed the most out of the always-bound-for-juniors group.

Good for Young. Prince George has a pretty stacked team this year and could go for a run in the WHL playoffs with him as the starting goaltender.

I am admittedly just looking at his stats over the last few years to come to this conclusion, but *why*?
Cut more please
Does anyone know why they sign Young now? I’m just curious about the timing is all. He’s cut from camp, going back to junior probably for two years, you’re unlikely to need him in the AHL (and then most teams use ATO’s and totally not under the table cash for prospects when they join for runs), his numbers don’t jump off the page, he’s a late pick so he doesn’t even have much leverage, etc.
The timing just seems a little random.
