the devils scored 4 goals in the first 6 minutes last night. Preseason is weird.
Was it just me or did Blake Wheels look very slow? Hoping it’s just rust from a vet but even for preseason he didn’t look up to speed at all
Shannon, i also began to fear a blowout in the opening minutes of this game. I ❤me some preseason NYR hockey but lopsided games provide a less than ideal opportunity to guide player evaluations and ultimately personnel decisions.
Re new faces and names in the preseason like George: Did anyone else hear Shannon's, "Who are these people?" In the voice of Jerry Seinfeld? It's late & I'm just saying.
Ryan Lindgren is my favorite Ranger. Blocks shots, lays huge hits, covers for the goalie, my idea of a defenseman – always defense first, team first.
If the Pens really wanted to squeeze another Cup out of Crosby/Malkin we should have gotten a defenseman like him. We have enough offense already.

Before I watch. I liked what I saw from the isles tn. Rough 3 min to start but would it be isles hockey without a slow start? Not in recent memory. Kids have shown improvement from last preseason. Not only did they improve, but, it looks like the development team on LI has gotten better, maggio and dufour didn’t just improve, no, they seemed to have addressed their weaknesses more than anything. Both looked poised and ambitious to become great players. With their ambition and the development team working with them to get better, I could see these guys in the middle 6 within 3 years. The future of the island may not seem as bleak as advertised. We r solid rn with a bottom 5 prospect pool (2nd round exit at best). If we can get these guys producing in the show on elcs, the isles will become the contenders they once were back in 2019-21
