   I guess Woo and Rathbone will get another game in here. Won’t be easier to put them on waivers the longer the preseason goes. Hope neither get picked up but both need more work on the farm.

   It looks like they’re being conservative with actual cuts. That said, it seems clear which players are in favour based on the main group today.    Players like Pods, Juulsen and Joshua move out of the main group entirely while McWard gets paired with Hughes, Di Guiseppe moved up with Miller, and Studnicka gets moved on the fourth line. A pretty clear indication of who’s been outperforming expectations and who’s potentially on the outside looking in. I could see this being an opening night roster, with the possible exception of the revolving door of potential Hughes partners.

   So, aside from Plasek, literally everybody that’s been cut so far has been either Junior-bound, or people that aren’t under contract currently. So maybe put away your Rathbone and Woo pitchforks before you realise that they’re still evaluating almost literally EVERYBODY that is available to the team.
