Favourite Big Mac moment was when he came across to make a pad save on Crosby to keep the Leafs in the lead. With that win against the Pens the Leafs made the playoffs.

Has to be as a coach. Getting back into the game could mean anything, including as a coach. It’s also possible that he’s interested in the office side of the game.
I don’t think the Leafs, or McElhinney, are deluded enough to believe he can offer much more than a warm body on a bench.
