Tests yesterday confirmed that Chris will not wake up. In life, Chris offered his body to a clinical trial to help others. In death he will do the same. He remains on life support while organ donation is arranged. We are so proud of him.

Hero in life, hero in death.
God speed Chris
Rip Chris you were a legend on and off the ice
4 years.
Chris battled this debilitating disease for 4 fucking years.
Most of us call in sick when we have a bum tum. This warrior showed up everyday to a job he loved. Truly a strong and inspirational human being.
Thank you Chris for everything you’ve done for this organization.
Truly forever a flame
#SnowInTheRafters.
Get him in the rafters
Well I’m crying now. What a great human Chris was, through and through.
This guy used a platform afforded by his hockey job and his own suffering to help other people. He found enjoyment in things like mowing the lawn and going for a walk. According to Conroy and Treliving and others, he never complained once despite going out in slow motion.
Go for a walk in the autumn sun today folks, it means a lot that we can.
Good guy Chris. Will be missed!
Absolutely devastating news. Put his name in the rafters, he deserves it!
❤️
Feel like I know this guy personally and I’ve never met him. Appeared to be such a genuine person who would help anyone.
For someone I’ve never met this is hard news to take in.
Rest easy, Chris.
Heart goes out to his family. There are just no words that can provide comfort.
Her words are heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. Their unthinkable loss will provide life to many others. Chris’s family has the purest love for him and I think that I can speak for all of us here that our thoughts and prayers are with them during this extremely difficult time ❤️
Chris did not lose to ALS yesterday. He beat it for 4 years.
What a warrior. Rest easy, you will always be a Calgary legend.
When my mom died a few years ago knowing that her organs were going to help others was a huge comfort for me, hopefully it can be a comfort to his family.
Rest easy Snow
Thank you so much for everything Chris.
Put this man in the rafters
