This is Jeff Halpern erasure and I won’t stand for it.

OP notes: Sorry for the potato quality, this was the resolution NHL2000 had…
I only included Head coaches, Associate coaches, Assistant coaches, and Goaltender coaches. The list would be quite a bit bigger if I included development coaches, coaching advisor/consultants etc.
Some interesting notes:
* Only 2 teams are not on this list: Buffalo and San Jose
* Wade Flaherty is the only former goalie to have a « Assistant Coach » title as opposed to Goaltender coach.

Crazy seeing St. Louis at a 59 overall
Also, Sergei Gonchar was playing then and is a defensive development coach in Vancouver now

That team would smash ur fucking teeth out and score like 2 goals a game on their way to a 18th overall finish

Wonderful content.

What’s crazy is how many of the goalies played for Vancouver

Pretty neat! Would like to note that Alex Tanguay is also a coach for the Red Wings and was on the Avs in 00 and 01

The most shocking for me is that Manny Malhotra was in the league in 1999? He just feels like a post lockout guy

Mark Recchi is now an assistant with the Jackets. So is Steve McCarthy but I don’t think he’s in the game.

So Lefebvre’s reward for stagnating the Habs farm team for three years is a promotion to an NHL bench?
Cool story.

They tried to clone Sakic but then they got Sacco instead.

Derek King was an underrated Leaf

Damn do you still play NHL 2000? If so, how? Grew up on this.

No disrespect to Peca, he was a great player, but funny seeing him be the highest rated player on a team that includes Martin St. Louis, Rod Brind’Amour, Phil Housley, Rick Tocchet and Marc Savard

No Keefe?

I tried to build a management team in NHL95 or 97 and I had like Marc Bergevin who was like a 37 overall. Ratings were crazy back then
unKappa
Kinda funny how the best player is also the 2nd lowest rated.

Holy shit, this gave me a wave of nostalgia. This was my favourite game to play. I had the PC version on my Windows 98.

Whenever I see Phil Housley now I think of his Du recruiting story with Tom Martin

Goalie Bob has been so great for the Bruins

If you expanded the criteria to include General Managers:
Pat Verbeek (ANA), Don Sweeney (BOS), Steve Yzerman (DET), Rob Blake (LA), Bill Guerin (MIN), Tom Fitzgerald (NJ), Chris Drury (NYR), Daniel Briere (PHI), Mike Grier (SJ), and Ron Francis (SEA)
