jesus, this routine pass is being soooooo overblown because every hockey media outlet knows how clickbaity a Bedard headline is. I get the hype, but this is standard play. Happens nightly in the NHL and honestly in lower leagues as well. the sauce wasn't even needed, it was just a timing pass. Any pro has been making that pass since they were 14 years old.

He is small so he learned early to keep his head up, that's a good thing, hits that you don't see coming are the worst and he is damn solid, definitely NHL ready imo. Last year 1st's choice, Slafkovsky was always the bigger guy out there before getting in the NHL so he had the bad habit of having his head down, paid the price a few times last season. He seems to have learned to keep his head up now, and overall improved a lot. Can't wait to watch them both this year.

I like bedard. It’s preseason and we are seeing a lot of fresh players. He still has a ways to go with his skating. I’ve been very impressed with how much he has improved since getting nhl coaching exposure. He has a lot of potential with good coaching and it shows. In Regular season, teams are going to be pushing pokes and bodies on him and you could already see that from the St. Louis game. He is going to have tremendous pressure and I think he is going to learn he can’t necessarily hold down a puck in the offensive zone and remain isolated like Kane.
