If we start Wolf in the nhl, we essentially are gonna lose Vladar for nothing. No reason to not have Markstrom and Vladar as the starting tandem, and Wolf also needs to keep playing games, so the ahl is the best bet.

Wolf will come up if we either struggle in net, trade Vladar at the deadline or earlier, or an injury occurs.

Ciona was expected, didn’t even realize Kuznetsov was still playing in training camp, Poirier talked prior to camp about starting in the AHL so understandable, they already have 2 goalies so they’ll probably just bring Wolf up occasionally for some starts. Zary getting sent down is baffling to me tho.

Pettersen still hanging on. Love to see it. Would’ve been nice to see him play in more games though.

Edit. Welp he’s on waivers now

They have to send wolf down, unfortunately.

Until they find a trade for Vladar or make the bonehead move of giving him away for free, they just don’t have the room for 3 goalies.

I think waiting for the deadline would be a mistake though. I have a feeling the goalie market is going to be saturated with far better goalies than Vladar by then.

We should probably be happy when *any* decent prospect escapes this pre-season without a shoulder injury that requires surgery.

Am I the only one who thinks Vladar would clear waivers? He hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire and he makes 2.2.
