Was a pretty good game by the CAPS, unlike last year they pressed and controlled the game so well at key moments – end of 2nd and end of 3d. This is hopeful, I'm tired of hearing this team won't make the playoffs this season. Let's go CAPS!

Don’t stop being excited about Miro! I think the Caps brass are equally excited..I think they needed to get a better look at Phillips to see if he can play in the NHL, and he’s doing well. I personally don’t see the demotion of Miro as a negative. I think he checked the boxes immediately…
I love the litmus test of performing in the AHL..Conner MC has passed, same with Phillips..now Miro will get his chance
Beck Malenstyn played his brains out last night. That Malenstyn – Dowd – NAK line was insane. Protas invisible. IDK how Malenstyns game hasnt stood out. He got robbed by Ullmark on a beautiful shot.
I remember Martin St. Louis kind of bouncing around with a few organizations before taking hold in Tampa Bay. It would be nice if the Caps could unearth an uncut gem like that in Phillips.
I think miro is gonna be a fantastic nhl player, but I think a year in Hershey will be good for him
mcmichael surprised me if he makes caps as a cap regular, i was thinking ahl is his ceiling, unless he gets real reps at center.
mathew phillips can be a top 6, he is always in the right place, bails out his teamates by making himself a easy target to get the puck moving. myro is just a talanted player learning north america hockey, so i get it if he is sent down.
go to flamenation and here the outcry why calcary fans were pissed he left due to management refusing to give him a chance just because he is smaller., how many bears were on the ahl all star team? phillips was an AHL league leader so im confused on why your surprised. the first preseason game he was snake bit because his teamates could not finish he is all over the place , just keep an on him during the game he is always in position and ready, thank you calgary. to me he has been a standout, myro is nhl ready as far as talent but he needs to know where to be and that wont take long i agree with you he will be a regular soon.
looks like two players make club who were not in caps system( when leonard is ready several others will be as well , caps future looks great but we can still steal a cup with what we have now., im hopefull for mc michael ,,my pick to sneak in is lucas johansson ,has been smooth , no mistakes..
hard to know how well nick backstrum is, seems fine but he still has great hand eye, not sure of his skating…yet. how strong will we be if he is back !!oshi, and backstrom may be open to playing 3 take one off.
