(Flyers fans saying we won the Richards and Carter trades too)

The sole reason I wanted the Knights to win was Jack. Could he have maybe been more professional with how he talked about the team publicly? Sure, but the team could of also run itself like a functioning organization with adults at the top. They didn’t do that for his entire tenure. It’s easy to see why he was so disillusioned with them.

We got better from the trade, so did they. No ill will but this is silly.

I don’t think alot of level headed Sabre fans were saying we fleeced Vegas with the Eichel trade – we of all people know how good Eichel could be. It just got to a point where the bridges were burned and it became obvious that he wouldnt play for the Sabres again (understandably so). To me, its a win-win for both teams. The Sabres have significantly turned the culture around within the origination and Tuch/Krebs have been a big part of that.

Who says that?
Eichel didn’t want to play in Buffalo and Buffalo didn’t want the risk.

Don’t worry. Media did sabres fans dirty work and robbed another American of a deserved Conn Smythe. (I’m Canadian by the way, if it matters).

Why does every trade need a winner? Both sides got what they needed.
Vegas got their superstar center goalscorer
Buffalo got a high end young prospect with a good two way game and a high end pressure forward to compliment their first line and some picks
Both teams got what they needed and it shows. Alex Tuch is the perfect winger to finish off Buffalos first line, and Eichel is the actual superstar talent Vegas needed to complete their team.

I think both parties are satisfied.
