They aren’t the top two lines I expected, but they sure looked like they had chemistry tonight. PDG feels like found money. He’s not a line driver of course but he gelled well with Miller and Boes and played great on the PK.

Just got home from the game it was a really fun night and the opening ceremonies were really nice. Canucks obliterated the Oilers tonight. The atmosphere was fun in the arena the Oilers fans were super rowdy and booing/chanting things early on but after the second Canucks goal it was amazing to see how fast that stopped lol. Lafferty was killing it tonight like what a player and a great addition tons of hussle.
Ahhh time to watch THG’s recap while drinking my last beer and eating some helluva good dip. Gonna pretend I don’t need to be up at 6. LIFE IS GOOD <3

When I go on twitter and I see the rest of the league’s fans hating us, I know its been a good day
I hate to be that guy. But I went to the game and on a day where we could do no wrong, and the Oilers could do no right I couldn’t help but notice how bad Hoglander is. He just has no hockey sense and he doesn’t have the skill to compensate for his lack of efficiency on the forecheck. He’s a play killing machine, really disappointed in him.
Other than that, what more can you ask for on opening day. So fucking excited for the team this season.
EDIT: Forgot to mention Draisaitl is a massive piece of shit. I knew it before but watching it live was honestly gross. I hope that guy is a career loser.

If by the end of season Aquaman is still paying OEL longer than we are paying Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes, then this franchise deserves to never see the light of playoff hockey for the rest of its existence.
