Say what you want about him but it is crystal clear his teammates are rooting for him to succeed.

Well deserved after the 2 weeks of bullshit he probably went through reading the press clippings. I’m rooting for this kid.

  3. He had multiple chances with one where he deked around the defenseman. Another goal would have been huge.

For all the attention on him, this game was exactly the start he needed. Well earned Broadway hat and I’ll gladly eat crow for breakfast, lunch and dinner all season of being wrong about how far he can go.

Who gives the hat out on opening night , captain Trouba?

Cuylle could have gotten it too. But Laf deserved it tonight

What a cutie, he looks ecstatic. I’m happy for him :’)

But but but… he drank his summer away, never went to the gym, and only played softball/video games for the past 5 months!

Happy for him. Hopefully tonight does wonders for his confidence

I was at the game. He was extremely noticeable. Much more so than any other time I have watched. Really impressed by his overall game and very happy for him.

One thing I’m sure the cameras did not catch, was Bread litterly hiding behind the net, at far post. Like actually ducking down and trying not to be seen. Later in the game I saw Laf do the same thing.

What a bust! I hope he keeps busting like this all year.

Honestly might’ve been the best game of his career. Have to keep it up though.

Loved seeing him bury the first goal of the season! Let’s go boys!

Had a great game, probably should have gotten an assist for the Panarin goal. That whole line looked great! Silence those doubters Laffy!

  15. Outstanding game from him. Everyone’s gonna look at the opening goal and point out how « noticeable » he was with the puck in transition, but there’s another stat that stands out because it’s frankly insane:

With Laf on the ice at even strength, Buffalo had *ZERO* shots on goal. None. Nada.
