1. This might be a little bit of a rant, and I might be living on a small island when it comes to this opinion, but I cannot stand network games. Living on the East Coast we already have to deal with late starts then network games seem to start even later. I know you guys mentioned that. On top of that you have these broadcasters sometimes that really don’t know much about the game. The mispronunciation of names is extremely annoying. The only shining star when it comes to network games is biz nasty. I thoroughly enjoy him.

  2. Agree that we should just shelve the Landy concept for now and focus on what we've got. Hard to know what to expect from this roster though

  3. I attempted this same Cartilage graft surgery and it failed after a year. I ended up getting a Knee Replacement. Granted, 26 years of Military Service at that time doesn't compare to an athlete of Landy's character, but this doesn't look good.

  4. We keep talking about the return of Landy because we all know that there's no cup championship without him in the line-up.

  5. I don’t see it as a big deal at all. Whether MacFarland said it or not, I’d be thinking it for one primary reason. At that point, he will not have played since June 2022. If he’s not ready to go after not having played in almost 2 full years, I don’t think he’ll ever be ready. And it’s not something I’ll really be mulling over until the last quarter of the season as playoffs approach.

  6. I don't see what is wrong with the GM saying that he hopes Landy comes back for the playoffs. That's all he said. Didn't say that he would play him at 90% he just said that he hopes he os back. Im sure we all can say the same thing that it would be great to have him back.

  7. You guys…that was like a master class argument in Why Pessimism is Better Than Optimism. 😅May I suggest that you are wrong, and Hope is not a bad thing? All he said is that he's hopeful Gabe is ready when playoffs come around. If he is ready to go, why wouldn't you want him for the most important games of the year? When the goal is the Cup, there's no point in "saving" him for the next year if he is ready and the team looks like they can make a deep run. I'm sure they will make all decisions appropriately. I see no problem with the fans having hope.
The Allard thing is interesting… didn't realize he had that EJ connection. If he shows up in Buffalo I'm gonna wonder who was paying his salary, hehe. His son was invited to development camp with the Avs, could that have caused some kind of rift or conflict?

  8. Chris MacFarland is giving Landy a reason to fight through recovery.

  9. Well damn: "Shawn Allard is a former professional hockey player and is the world's most sought after Movement and Performance Coach for NHL athletes."

  10. The less educated fans are going to go ga-ga over hearing Landeskog’s name; I can see it now.”Prayers for Landy.” “OMG, he’s coming back.” Oh boy.

  11. I hope everything for him, but realistically, I think he's done, at best if he can come back his contract will become an anchor because he won't be a 7m performer.

  12. Ugh, nothing exciting about national games for me. I LOVE Altitude's coverage and I ditched cable years ago. I know it's good for the game, but I pay for ESPN+ and would just at least like to still be able to watch them on there. The whole blackout thing in 2023 is just ridiculous. First world problems…

  13. I am a year 11 months out from a MACI surgery. Similar to Landy. I am questioning if i am ever going to play rec league hockey. The recovery is brutal.
